David A. Pearson, MD, MS
David is a practicing emergency physician in Charlotte, North Carolina. His special interests in medicine include resuscitation and post-resuscitation stabilization, therapeutic hypothermia, international medicine, and emergency care for the homeless. In 2005, he founded Pearson Storyboard, Inc. providing medical consulting services for writers and producers. Currently, he works as an associate Medical Story Editor for As The World Turns and is writing a trilogy, with the first novel Storm soon to be released.
Harold W. (Chuck) Henson
Sergeant, University City Division, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department
Chuck is a former detective with the Felony Investigations Bureau of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2004, he was assigned to the bureau’s Homicide Cold Case Unit, where he has been involved in the arrest, interrogation, and conviction of three serial killers. In 2005, the Cold Case Unit was first runner-up for the International Association of Chiefs of Police Choice Point Award for Excellence in Criminal Investigations. Before joining the Cold Case Unit, he worked active homicide cases for 4 years; he was on uniform patrol previous to that. He worked for the Cabell County Prosecutor’s Office in Huntington, West Virginia, for 3 years before joining the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. In November 2006, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. He currently works in the University City Division.
Chuck received his master of science degree in criminal justice and psychology in 1990 and his bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice in 1988, both from Marshall University in West Virginia. In 1997, he attended the FBI Academy. Sergeant Henson is a North Carolina State-certified Basic Law Enforcement Training instructor and the recipient of both State Law Enforcement and Advanced Law Enforcement certificates. He also is an instructor at Central Piedmont Community College.
